SHOUT-Out Program Launched

The Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) started a new staff SHOUT-OUT recognition program for all caregivers. Staff members are encouraged to recognize their co-workers for doing exemplary work, going above and beyond for our patients and coworkers, or just being a positive person to work with. All nominees will receive a treat in recognition of their SHOUT-OUT.  At the end of each month the names of the SHOUT-OUT recipients will be put in a drawing for the MCHC Caregiver of the Month. The winner will receive a gift card plus the honor of parking in the Caregiver of the Month parking spot.

In the first month there were 33 SHOUT-OUTS given in both Madelia and Lake Crystal locations! Two people’s names were drawn for employees of the month in January: Michael Hruby, Dietary Cook, and Dylan Gibson, Physical Therapy Aide. Michael was nominated by both Jessica Holm, Dietary and EVS Director, and by Dana Tim, Radiology Technician. Jess states: “Mike has helped out a great deal with covering hours since the Dietary Department is short staffed. Big thank you!” Dana says: “Thanks, Mike for working so hard to keep us all fed with your yummy dishes, even though you are shorthanded. It doesn’t go unnoticed.” Dylan was nominated by Rehabilitation Manager/Physical Therapist Jamie Hitchcock. She states: “Dylan is awesome because he helps cover shifts when others are out. He is always positive and willing to help.”

At the end of the year, the caregiver who has the most SHOUT-OUTS will be the MCHC Employee of the Year.
